James Raymond Cormier

July 27, 1938 - December 30, 2015

Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 8, 2016 at 11:00AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lafayette.
Interment will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Delcambre following the funeral.
James was called from labor to reward on Wednesday December 30, 2015. His life passed at 77 years but his memory will linger on forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
Mr. James Raymond Cormier was born a twin on July 27, 1938 in Delcambre, La to the union of the late Milton & Edith B. Cormier of Delcambre, La.
James married Barbara St. Julien on July 17, 1964 and became the loving father of two sons, two daughters. James was blessed and adored by ten grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Celebrating and forever cherishing his memories are his two daughters, Cheryl Bryant of Lafayette, Catherine (Johnny) Williams of Savannah, Georgia; two sons, Carl (Jennifer) Cormier, and Curtis Cormier both of Lafayette, one brother Jerry Cormier of Lafayette, three sisters Louise Willis, Clara Mason, and Theresa Meaux all of Houston Texas, special friend Edith Sam and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. James will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
James was proceeded in death by his wife of 37 years Barbara Cormier, parents; Milton and Edith Cormier , one sister Florence Johnson, three brothers Norris, Dennis and his twin John Cormier, four brother- in-laws Lloyd Mason, Phillip, Charles, and Wilfred St. Julien.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 8, 2016 from 7:00AM to 10:30AM at Kinchen Funeral Home.
