KAPLAN—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 27, 2014 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Helen Courtland, 80, who died Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Heart Hospital of Lafayette. She will be laid to rest at Nunez Baptist Cemetery with her granddaughter Jeannine Caswell Vote officiating the services.
She is survived by her son, Ronald Courtland and his wife, Pamela of Kaplan; two daughters, Susie and her husband, Gary Slaamot of Bolivar, MO and Carol Courtland of Kaplan; one sister, Maydel and her husband, Wendal of Orange, TX; four grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Courtland; and her parents, Elliard Landreneau and the former Lena Richard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, October 27, 2014 from 9 a.m. until services.
