Helen Claire Durke “Sis”

ABBEVILLE—Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, December 15, 2014 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Helen Claire Durke, 92, who died Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Eastridge Assisted Living Center.
She was laid to rest at Graceland Cemetery with Pastor Pres Riley officiating the services. Pallbearers were Daniel Durke, Coy Durke, Aaron Durke, Colby Durke, Brian Durke, Eric Durke, Guy Duhon and Landon Meaux.
She was a great daugther, sister and aunt. She will be sadly missed by all of her family and by all her extended family.
She is survived by her brother, Louis Durke and his wife Stella of Abbeville; sister, Joyce Durke; three sisters-in-law, Carole Durke of Abbeville, Helen Durke of Texas, and Mozelle Durke of Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Durke and the former Levie Benoit; brothers, Walter Durke, Floyd Durke, Charles “Billy” Durke, and Al James “Pep” Durke; sister, Gloria Durke; sisters-in-law, Wilma Jean Durke and Marie Durke; nephew, Clay Allen Durke; and a great nephew Clay Allen Durke.
