Gladys Mae Guidry Joseph
ABBEVILLE – A mass of Christian Burial for Gladys Mae Guidry Joseph is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 28, 2016 at St. Theresa Catholic Church with burial in St. Paul Cemetery. Father Greg Cormier will be the Celebrant.
Gladys Mae Joseph (72), a long time resident of Abbeville passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2016 at her son’s residence surrounded by family and friends.
She leaves to mourn her passing a loving companion Antoine “T Will” Green of Erath, four children, George Linton, Jr. of Montgomery, TX; Patrick Oneal Linton, (his children) Sharon Parker (Elliot), and Cornelius Darby (Wayne), all of Abbeville, LA; one step son. Percy Joseph Jr., of Abbeville, one sister, Helen Hoffman of Houston, TX; three special daughters, Adrienne Briggs Peters (Michael) and Linda Fisher, her dog, “Smokie”, and Mary “Lee-Lee” Towles, a brother in law, Victor Joseph, Jr, (Tiffany), a sister in law, Beulah Walker (Joseph), two Godchildren, Ernest Martin of Houston, Texas, and David Perro of Abbeville, eleven Grandchildren, 10 Great-Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by both parents, Ernest Guidry and Mamie Levy; sisters, Alona Green (Clarence), Alma Stubben (George) and Anna Shaw; (Guy) brothers, Paul Forrest Guidry and Oris Guidry and her former husband Percy Ray Joseph, Sr.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, May 27, 2016 from 5:00 – 9:00 P.M. in Kinchen Funeral Home Chapel, and will resume on Saturday, May 28, 2016 from 8:00 -10:40 A.M. with a rosary being recited at 9:30 A.M.
