GUEYDAN — Funeral services for Georgia Loraine Jolivette, 68, of Gueydan will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Gueydan, LA on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 11:30 AM with
Father Corey Campeaux officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday at 9:30 AM until the time of her service.
Georgia Loraine was born on August 19, 1945 to the late Caleb Levine and the late Morena Comeaux Levine in Lafayette, LA. She passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014 while surrounded by her loving family. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church of Gueydan, la. She participated in the activities for Camp Blue Bird and Relay for Life. Mrs. Georgia was married to the late Harold Roy Jolivette and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She devoted her life to the care of her family and loved them dearly. She loved dancing, cooking, bingo and going to the casino. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Georgia is survived by one son, Hayward Anthony Jolivette of Gueydan, LA; two daughters, Marcella Edwina Jolivette and Bernadette Myra Jolivette both of Gueydan, LA; one loving granddaughter, Lea Bernadette Wesley also of Gueydan, LA; her two sisters, Joyce Jackson (Horace) and Mary L. Williams both of Gueydan, LA.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents Caleb and Morena Levine; her beloved husband, Harold Roy Jolivette; her three brothers, Junis Levine, Floyd Levine and Frank Levine; and one sister, Angelle “Angel” Youngblood.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Hector Robles, Dr. Henry Kauffman, Dr. Steven Abshire and the staff at Abrom Memorial Hospital and Lafayette General Hospital.
