Dwane P. Smith Sr.

ABBEVILLE – Memorial Services will be conducted at a later date for Dwane Paul Smith, Sr., 57, who passed away on Friday, February 5, 2016, at Abbeville General Hospital.
Dwane will always be remembered for his outgoing personality and an awesome sense of humor. When spending time with the family you could always count on him to make you laugh. He loved fishing. Music was his passion. He enjoyed playing different instruments such as the bass guitar, the accordion and the string guitar. He taught himself to play the keyboard. Currently Dwane was working on a CD that was soon to be released.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years Sandra Smith; father Emery James Smith and his wife Sue Smith; son Dwane P. Smith, Jr.; daughter Dana Paige Smith; three brothers James Dean (Betty) Smith, Roger Dale (Pam) Smith and Darren (Angel) Smith; two stepsons Shawn Fritz and Baret Fritz and one stepdaughter Lisa (Mickey) Toups.
He is preceded in death by his mother Evelyn Smith, maternal grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Odale Istre, and paternal grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Gabriel Smith.
