Carl Renee “Cup” Johnson

ABBEVILLE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Carl Renee “Cup” Johnson on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery in Abbeville, LA. Father Kenneth Mayne will be the celebrant.
Carl R. Johnson, a long time resident of Abbeville, LA passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette after succumbing to injuries sustained in an accident.
Carl is survived by his mother, Ada Johnson of Abbeville, LA; two daughters, Destini R. Harrison and Marquasha Campbell of Abbeville, LA; one son, Carl Taylor of Delcambre, LA; one sister, Michelle Bessard (Michael) of Abbeville, LA; one brother, Roderick Joiner of Abbeville, LA; two grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Johnny Johnson, maternal grandparents, Lloyd Joiner, Sr. and Louise Ruffins Joiner; paternal grandparents, Joseph Johnson and Elizabeth Huntly Johnson; and one nephew, Justin Rice.
Visitation will take place at St. Theresa Catholic Church from 9:00 A.M. until time of service.
