Alton James “Jim” Trahan

Delcambre – A Christian Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of The Lake Catholic Church on May 31st, 2014 at 11:00 am honoring the life of Alton James “Jim” Trahan, 72, who passed away May 20, 2014 at Iberia Medical Center.
He is survived by his brother Richard Trahan and wife Joan of Kaplan La; 3 sons, Tobey Trahan and his wife Theresa of Maurice La, Kurt Trahan and his wife Nicole of Delcambre La, Lance Trahan and his wife Lisa of Delcambre La; 5 Grand children, Jaci, Tori, Judd, Taylor and Baleigh Trahan. Jim was born in Kaplan La and lived in Delcambre most of his life. Made a career in the Oilfield and eventually retired with Texaco.
After retirement he enjoyed Hunting, Race Horses, Camping, visiting the Casino and following his grandchildren. He was always one to lend a helping hand and could fix anything. His strength has inspired many people. The family would like to give special thanks to his caregivers at Iberia Medical Center’s LTAC unit for their care, kindness and compassion in his final days.
His wishes were to help others by donating his body to the Bureau of Anatomical Services, which represents a contribution to education and research for training of future health care providers.
