Ada Joiner Johnson

ABBEVILLE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Theresa Catholic Church, honoring the life of Ada Joiner Johnson (74) who passed away on December 6, 2015. Father Greg Cormier will be the Celebrant. She will be laid to rest in St. Paul Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Bessard (Michael Sr.) of Abbeville, LA; one son, Roderick “Ra-Ra” Joiner of Duson, LA; Grandchildren: Destini Harrison, Michael Bessard (Nicole), LaShira Petry, Marquasha Campbell, Braylin Bessard, Naylin Bessard, shyla Joseph, Javayon Joseph, Roderick Rice (DeShawna) all of Abbeville, LA; Carl Taylor of Delcambre, LA; and Brooke Joiner of Lafayette, LA; three brothers, Rev. Lloyd Joiner (Shirley) of Lafayette, LA; Murphy Joiner (Doris) of Dallas, TX; Cleveland Joiner (Joann) of Abbeville, LA; twelve Great-Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Johnson, her parents, Lloyd Joiner, Sr. and Louise Ruffin Joiner, one son, Carl Johnson, one grandson, Justin Rice, brothers, Lloyd E. Joiner, Phillip Joiner, and Michael Joiner.
