Notre Dame Honor Graduates

CROWLEY – Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish is pleased to announce the schedule of events for the graduation of the class of 2008. The graduation Mass will be held this morning at 8:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point. Various civic award and scholarships winners will be announced.

This evening at 7 p.m., the commencement will also be held at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Church Point. The evening ceremony will include the valedictory address, Shoe of Fame induction, and the presentation of diplomas.

Northside Christian School will also have their graduation ceremony tonight, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The ceremony is to be held at the school. Congratulations to all graduates, and God bless you in your future endeavors.

Notre Dame is also pleased to announce that there are seven members of the class who have achieved a perfect 4.0 grade point average. The are Kayla Meche, Heidi Daigle, Maggie Faulk, Courtney Melanson, Allison Miller, Emily Regan, and Joe Stoma.

Kayla Marie Meche, daughter of Harold and Edna Meche of Church Point, is ranked first in her class and will deliver the valedictory address. After graduation, Kayla plans to attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and major in Athletic Training.

Heidi Danielle Daigle is the daughter of Kevin and Carole Daigle of Rayne and is also ranked first in her class. After graduation, Heidi plans to attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Her major is not declared yet.

Maggie Ellen Faulk is the daughter of John and Kayla Faulk of Crowley. She is also ranked first in her class. After graduation, Maggie plans to attend Louisiana State University, majoring in Environmental Engineering.

Courtney Nickel Melanson, daughter of Michael and Mary Melanson, is also ranked first in her class. After graduation, Allison plans to attend Louisiana State University majoring in Business.

Emily Claire Regan, daughter of Linus and Anne Regan of Crowley, is also ranked first in her class. After graduation, Emily plans to attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and major in Nursing.

Joe Butrus Stoma, IV, son of Ricky and Lisa Stoma of Crowley, is also ranked first in his class. Joe B. plans to attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. His major has not been declared yet.

Lauren Taylor Rothermel, daughter of Dr. Kurt and Mrs. Sheila Rothermel of Crowley, ranks eighth in her class with a 3.97 grade point average.

Alexis Claire Sarver, daughter of Tommy and Jody Sarver of Crowley, ranks ninth in her class with a 3.96 grade point average.

Adrienne Claire Trahan, daughter of John and M’elise Trahan of Crowley, ranks tenth in her class with a 3.93 grade point average.
