Maxful “Tootsie” Landry, Sr.

ABBEVILLE – Funeral services for Maxful “Tootsie” Landry, Sr. is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Lighthouse for Jesus Church – 6526 Chaisson Road with burial in St. Paul Cemetery. Pastor Donnie Bolden will officiate the service.
Maxful Landry, Sr. (95), a World War II Veteran and a long time resident of Abbeville, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2016 surrounded by his family.
He leaves to mourn his passing, nine children, namely, Brenda Levine, Betty Williams (George), Maxful Landry, Jr. of Shreveport, LA; Phillip Landry, Elizabeth Tolbert (Robert), Rita Landry, Joseph Landry, Josephine Wiltz, Anthony Landry all of Abbeville, LA; 23 Grandchildren, 69 Great-Grandchildren, 18 Great-Great-Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Landry; his parents, Anthony Landry and Hattie Small Landry; a daughter, Mary Ann Landry; his siblings, Calvin Landry, Ray Landry, Irma Williams, and Alma Mire; his grandchildren, George Landry, Amyia Thibodeaux, and Irene Jackson.
Visitation will take place at Lighthouse for Jesus Church Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 8:00 A.M. until time of service.
