Kenneth James “Kenny” Ortamond

June 28, 1962 - May 30, 2016

Kenneth James Ortamond “Kenny”, 53 of Santa Fe, Texas, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2016 at home from a long heroic battle of pancreatic cancer.
Kenny had a heart that loved and cared for his family. He faced the trials of life with a faith in his Savior and knew that in all things Christ would be glorified. Kenny worked hard till his savior called him home and spent his final hours with his wife and daughter by his side.
Kenny was born in Abbeville, Louisiana to Willis and Melba Ortamond on June 28, 1962. He attended high school at Abbeville High School and graduated in 1980. Kenny earned an associate’s degree in Electrical/Instrumental Technology from San Jacinto College South. Kenny married the love of his life, Aimee Bustamante Ortamond on September 7, 1985. They had a beautiful daughter whom was the light of his eyes, Ashley Marie Ortamond on March 7, 1996.
He worked for Air Liquide America in Houston, Texas since 1989. Kenny enjoyed and had a passion for his family, the family ranch, hunting, the family horses and team roping.
Kenneth James Ortamond “Kenny” is preceded in death by his father in 2011, Willis Ortamond; his mother in 2011, Melba Bertrand Ortamond; his paternal grandparents, Sidney and Armance Ortamond; his maternal grandparents, Dema and Elia Bertrand.
Kenneth James Ortamond “Kenny” is survived by his wife, Aimee Ortamond and daughter Ashley Ortamond. of Santa Fe, Texas.
He is also survived by his sister and brother in law: Delores and Victor Gondran; his brother and sister-in-law: Donald and Jona Ortamond and their children: Tiffany Ortamond, Jesse Ortamond and Renee Ortamond; brother: Jimmy Ortamond and his children Rhea Ortamond and Clayton Ortamond; and brother and sister-in-law: Bill and Kim Ortamond and their children: Dale Nelson and Diana French. Kenny is also survived by his beloved pets Outlaw, Luke and King. Kenny is survived by a multiple of friends he called family along with his brothers and sisters from his ACTS group.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Grisham, Sean Sanders, Edwardo Oliver, Bobby Skelton, Ronnie Long, Darcy Loerch, Rocky Mauldin and Chis Heule.
Visitation will be held at Rose Garden Funeral Home on Friday, June 3, 2016 from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M with Rosary Service at 7:00 P.M.
Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at Rose Garden Funeral Home the last viewing will be held with a processional to the 12:30 Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Zapata, Texas.
