Abbeville lifts boil advisory; students to return to school on Wednesday

The water boil advisory in Abbeville has been lifted.
Abbeville Mayor Mark Piazza announced the lifting of the advisory at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
Tests to the water city’s water system returned negative for any issues, allowing the decision to lift the advisory.
The city called for the boil advisory early Monday after a malfunction at the city’s water plant caused water pressure to drop.
Vermilion Parish Superintendent Jerome Puyau announced schools in Abbeville will be open on Wednesday. The schools were closed on Monday and Tuesday.
