Rose Mae Simon Hawthorne

MAURICE — Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Rose Mae Simon Hawthorne, 70, who died Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Services will be conducted by Fr. Stanley Fawa.
Interment will be in St. Alphonse Cemetery.
She is survived by one son, John Hawthorne; one daughter, Charlene Sampy; five grandchildren, Carmela Hawthorne, Briana Sampy, Nicholas Hawthorne, Alex Hawthorne, Jordan Lewis; one great grandchild, Maliyah Lewis; one niece, Nichelle Harris; one nephew, Jiavante’ Simon and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Gustavia Fuselier Simon; father, John Villier Simon; brother, John Joseph Simon and niece, Yvonne Monique Simon.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 16, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church from 8:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m.
