James “Jim” Sweet

KAPLAN — Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of James “Jim” Sweet, 65, who passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2016. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Deacon Bill Vincent officiating the services.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Dawn Sweet of Kaplan; two sons, Chad Sweet and his wife, Tiffany of Webb City, MO and Jamie Sweet of Webb City, MO; two daughters, Trina and her husband, David Perkins of Joplin, MO and Madison Sweet of Wichita Falls, TX; one sister, Peggy and her husband, Freddy Kiser of Carl Junction, MO; three brothers, Jerry Sweet and his wife, Ruby of Diamond, MO, Teddy Sweet and his wife, Louise of Joplin, MO, and Gene Sweet and his wife, Judy of Carl Junction, MO; twelve grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted Sweet and the former Virginia Bartlett; one granddaughter, Maggie Sweet; and one sister, Linda Kay Sweet.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m.; Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 8 a.m. until services.
