ABBEVILLE – Funeral services for Joycelyn Ann Shelvin is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 9, 2016 in the chapel of Kinchen Funeral Home. Afterwards, there will be a private burial.
Joycelyn Shelvin (55), a resident of Abbeville passed away Monday, April 4, 2016 at her home surrounded by family and friends.
She leaves to mourn, her children, Travis Shelvin and Clevonia Shelvin both of Abbeville, LA; Likissa Shelvin of Havelott, NC; and Morrissa Briggs (Richard) of Dallas, TX; sisters, Regina Gabriel of Lafayette, LA; Jenny Shelvin of Havelott, NC; Tammy, Bobbie Faye, Deidra, Charlotte, Bam Bam, Dianna, and Kayla; one brother, Angelo Shelvin of Jennings, LA; five Grandchildren, one Great-Grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Shelvin and Marjorie Moss Shelvin; two brothers, Paul Michael and Lawrence Shelvin; one sister, Catherine Shelvin; grandparents, Eugina Reaux and Morris Perry.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Sandra Breaux, Roderick Braxton, and a special friend, Mr. Bernard for your loving and caring spirit.
Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, April 9, 2016 in the funeral home chapel from 8:00 A.M. until time of service.
