James Ray Romero

KAPLAN — Funeral services will be held Monday, April 4, 2016 at a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of James Ray Romero, 65, who died Friday, April 1, 2016 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Ty Romero, Tommy Richard, Kameron Abshire, Chris Landry, Trent Turnley, and Joey Bourque.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Mary Romero of Kaplan; one son, Ty Romero of Kaplan; and two brothers, Larry Romero and his wife, Marlene of Kaplan and Marion “Butch” Romero and his wife, Paulette of Carencro.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray Romero and the former Gloria Bernard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, April 3, 2016 from 12 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 6 p.m.; Monday, April 4, 2016 from 8 a.m. until services.
