Louis Clomie Viator
DELCAMBRE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mr. Louis Clomie Viator , age 85, at 10:00 am Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Fr. Nathan Comeaux officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Mausoleum with military services by Iberia Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Monday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Tuesday until service time.
A native of Iberia Parish and resident of Delcambre, Mr. Viator passed away at 5:09 am on, Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Abbeville General Hospital.
Mr. Viator was a Veteran of the US Army who served his country honorably. He was employed by Iberia Parish School Board and The City of New Iberia for many years. He loved Cajun music, dancing and playing the accordion.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Anite Decoux Viator of Delcambre; his step children, Linda Menard and husband Charles; Hilda Porter and husband Lynn and Charlene Hebert and husband Joseph Neil all of Abbeville; Timmy Bourque of Erath and Paul Bourque, Jr. of Delcambre; seven grandchildren, Garrett Hebert; Blair Menard; Boyd Porter; Alaina Touchet; Keagan LeBlanc; Jacob Bourque and Gannon Bourque; eight great grandchildren and a special niece, Bonnie V. Marceaux of New Iberia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Louise Gary Viator, Sr.; four brothers, Joseph E. Viator; Joe Viator, Jr., Ophe Viator and Lucius A. Viator and three sisters, Louise Pellerin, Gladys Gary and Ursula Porrier.
Pallbearers will be Garrett Hebert, Blair Menard, Boyd Porter, Jacob Bourque, Gannon Bourque and Johnny Bourque..
