DELCAMBRE — A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mr. Ernest Comeaux 83, at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Saint Martin De Porres Catholic Church, Delcambre, LA with Rev. Nathan Comeaux, celebrant.
He will await the resurrection at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church Cemetery, Delcambre, LA.
A gathering of family and friends will begin at 8:00 A.M. Saturday at the church until time of service with a rosary to be recited at 10:00 A.M.
A native and resident of Delcambre, LA, he passed at 12:15 P.M. Monday, February 15, 2016 at his residence.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Vala Mae Broussard Comeaux of Delcambre, LA, two sons, Rodney (Phyllis) Comeaux of New Iberia, LA, and Randy Comeaux of Lafayette, LA; three daughters, Roxanne Comeaux, and Janice Comeaux of Delcambre, LA, and Janet (Peter) Jeanlouis of Lafayette, LA; one brother, John Comeaux of Beaumont, TX; nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Espero Comeaux and Cecelia Shello Comeaux, three brothers, Dudley Comeaux, Aaron Comeaux, and Dalton Comeaux, three sisters, Anna Belle Stewart, Camella Derouen, and Agatha Walker.
Active pallbearers will be Kenneth Roy, Stanley Stewart, Tylar Curry, Joshua Jeanlouis, Jonah Jeanlouis, and Albert Roy.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rodney Comeaux, Randy Comeaux, Peter Jeanlouis, Columbus Comeaux, Sylvester George, Aaron Trahan, Curley Reaux, Jr., Charles Comeaux, Sterling Broussard, and Patsy Roy.
