Cynthia L. Henderson

November 13, 1950 - January 9, 2016

A Home-Going Celebration will be held for Ms. Cynthia Louise Henderson 65, at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Saint Mary Congregational Church, Abbeville, LA with Rev. Kevin M.A. Williams, officiating.
She will await the resurrection at Saint Mary Congregational Church Cemetery, Abbeville, LA.
A gathering of family and friends will begin at 8:30 A.M. Saturday at the church until time of service.
A native and resident of Abbeville, LA. She passed at 7:57 P.M. Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Abbeville General Hospital following a brief illness.
She was a faithful and dedicated member of Saint Mary Congregational Church where she served in various ministries. She was very active in the Music Ministry by serving as Choir Director and President of the Choir for many years. She was also a member of the Fifth Sunday Singing Convention.
She leaves to cherish her memory, three sons, Robert Darnell Henderson of Abbeville, LA, Alonza Keith (Shellie) Henderson of Houston, TX, and Shawn Blair (Connie) Henderson of Phoenix, AZ, three sisters, Sylvia Stevenson, Sandra Henderson, and Karen Henderson all of Abbeville, LA, thirteen grandchildren, Arlando, Devin, Katina, Azarius, Ashton, Ke’ara, Milan, Zaylen, Liv, Gabby, Jaiden, Tia, and Markistiny, one great-grandchild, Aubrey, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who realize Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert James Henderson and Eleanor Bernard Henderson.
Active pallbearers will be Keith Plowden, Michael Plowden, Kevin Plowden, Leonard Green, Jabian August, and Kendall Baudoin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert D. Henderson, Alonza K. Henderson, and Shawn B. Henderson, Devin Pilette, Azarius Henderson, Ashton Henderson, Arlando Gage, Treylon Stevenson, Wayne Brown, Patrick Stevenson, Anthony Harris, and Marvin Summers.
