ABBEVILLE — A Homegoing Celebration for Shelia Ann Broussard, 57, will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Pleasant Green Baptist Church, 822 I.J. Joiner St. Pastor Michael Wright , Officiating.
Interment will follow in Pleasant Green Church Cemetery. (Green Street)
Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM at the church until time of services.
Shelia was born on April 3, 1958 in Lafayette, LA to the union of the former Marcedell Johnson and the later Walter J. Broussard, Jr.
Shelia was a graduate of Abbeville High School, Class of 76. She attended SLCC and later became a CNA, where she worked at the local nursing homes. She was baptized at Pleasant Green Baptist Church where she attended for many years.
In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kamora Williams, her step-father, Rev. Alexander Joiner, Sr.; her grandparents, Joseph and Elizabeth Huntley Johnson and Walter and Agnes Broussard, Sr. and one sister, Carolyn Broussard. Shelia passed suddenly from death to eternal life on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at her home in Abbeville, LA.
Shelia leaves cherished memories with her children, Keiffer (his companion, Quaovonda) and Amber (Joshua) Levene, both of Abbeville, LA; her mother, Marcedell Johnson-Joiner of Abbeville, LA; six grandchildren, Amelia Pringle, of Gauthier, MS, Kaleigh Williams, Kaden Williams, Keiffer Williams, Jr. Jaleel Williams Abigail Williams, all of Abbeville, LA; six siblings, Brenda (Ted) Nolan, Linda (Edward, Jr.) Pilette, Catherine Broussard, Lola Broussard, Allen (Devon) Broussard and Alexander (Rosemary) Joiner, Jr., all of Abbeville, LA.: companion: Brady Tyrone Coleman of Abbeville, LA; aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
