Thompson- Johnson exchange vows

Miss Joanie Michelle Thompson of Abbeville and Mr. Andrew Harrison Johnson of Eunice were united in holy matrimony during a ceremony held on Friday, December 11, 2015 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Cow Island.
Father Keith Landry officiated the 7 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Thompson. Her grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Mouton and the late Mr. and Mrs. “Pat” Thompson.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Johnson.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Emily Guidry and Karl Songne. Readings were given by Madison Pold, friend of the bride and Leah Patout Broussard, friend of the bride.
Ushers were Alex Crowe and Gioranni Roberts, both friends of the groom.
The mother of the bride was escorted by Ben Johnson. She wore a navy paneled lace gown with a boat neckline and satin ribbon belt.
The mother of the groom was escorted by her husband. She wore a red and black, floral taffeta dress.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an off the shoulder lace wedding gown designed by Oleg Cassini. The trumpet gown featured a bateau neckline with stunning chantilly lace throughout. Her veil featured fine, delicate tulle with beaded edging.
She carried white anemones surrounded by blue nigella and blue thistle. Lambs ear and dusty miller were part of the greenery.
Matron of honor was Mrs. Jill Summers, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids included Mrs. Crystel Moore, sister of the bride; Mrs. Carrie mouton, friend of the bride; Mrs. Hannah Thibodeaux and Mrs. Lindsay Leblanc, both friends of the bride. Flower girl was Olivia Thompson, niece of the bride.
The attendants wore navy dresses with lace details. They carried blue hydrangeas with baby’s breath.
Best man was Benjamen Johnson, brother of the groom. Groomsmen included Quinton Johnson and Stephen Johnson, both brothers of the groom and Jordan Vidrine, friend of the groom. Ring bearer was Elliot Summers, nephew of the bride.
Following the ceremony, a reception as held at Magdalen Place in Abbeville.
Upon their return from a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, TN, the couple will reside in Lafayette.
