Rachael Soirez becomes Mrs. Frank deGraauw III

Miss Rachael Elizabeth Soirez of Erath and Mr. Frank Robert Nicholas deGraauw III of Abbeville, were united in holy matrimony during a ceremony held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath.
Reverend Bill Melancon officiated the 7 p.m. ceremony.
Parents of the bride are Charlene and Jimmy Soirez of Erath. Her grandparents are Mrs. Alice Domingue, the late Eugene Domingue, Mrs. Gloria Soirez and the late Daniel Soirez, all of Erath.
Parents of the groom are Claudette and Frank deGraauw, Jr. of Abbeville. His grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Claude Veglia of New Orleans and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank deGraauw, Sr. of Abbeville.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Jodi Bollich and Karen Guidry.
Readings were given by Rob Felder, brother-in-law of the groom.
The mothers of the bride and groom were escorted by their husbands.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory gown with gold and silver accents. A richly embroidered gossamer lace and organza flowed throughout the fitted, slim trumpet silhouette. Finally, the gown was completed by a sheer lace chapel length train.
She carried a hand tied bouquet of white hydrangeas, vendela roses, and sweetheart roses with a touch of brunia berries. The bouquet was adorned with her maternal grandmother’s rosary and bouquet pins with pictures of her maternal and paternal grandfathers.
Emily Soirez, sister of the bride attended as the maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Elizabeth Romero, friend of the bride; Karen Detraz, cousin of the bride and Lauren Felder, sister of the groom. The flower girl was Evelyn Felder, niece of the groom.
The maids wore beautiful floor length, one shoulder gowns with pleated bodice in ballet. Their look was completed with bouquets of ivory hydrangeas.
Matthew deGraauw, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen included Matt Sagrera, Lee Bordelon, Seth Detraz and Jake Detraz.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at La Louisiane Banquet Hall.
After their return from a wedding trip to Negril, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Abbeville.
