Village of Maurice - 1% S&U - BOA - Perp
Shall the Village of Maurice, State of Louisiana (the “Village”), under the provisions of Article VI, Section 29-A of the Constitution of the State of Louisiana, and other constitutional and statutory authority, be authorized to renew, rededicate, levy and collect, a tax of 1% upon the sale at retail, the use, the lease or rental, the consumption and storage for use or consumption of tangible personal property and on sales of services in the Village an estimated $496,250.00 reasonably expected at this time to be collected from the levy of the tax for (an entire year) beginning January 1, 2016 lasting “in perpetuity” with proceeds of said tax (after paying costs and expenses of collecting and administering the tax) to be used for the purpose of one half (1/2) of the funds assigned to capital improvements and the remaining one half (1/2) of the funds assigned to water and sewer?
