Lena Broussard Guidry

October 13, 1945 ~ August 16, 2015

ABBEVILLE—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Lena Broussard Guidry, 69, who died Sunday, August 16, 2015 at her residence.
She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Rev. Gregory Cormier officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Phillip Guidry, Otto Guidry, C.J. Boudreaux, Larry Toups, Jeff Carver, Wilfred LeBlanc, Andrew Broussard, and Jonathan Broussard.
Lena was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. Reading, traveling, playing games on her computer and most importantly spending time with her grandchildren were among life’s greatest joys.
She is survived by her husband, Dudley Guidry; one son, Kern J. Guidry and his wife, Tracy; two grandchildren, Phillip Guidry and his wife, Tommie Jo, and Christina Guidry; and sister, Amanda Morgan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lenes Broussard and the former Melina Soriez; and sisters, Annie B. LeBlanc, and Evelyn B. Hebert.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 a.m.
Special thanks to Hospice of Acadiana for the wonderful care given to Lena in her final days and to her closest friends, Bonnie and Claire.
