Julie Lejeune becomes Mrs. Trenton Romero

Miss Julie Lejeune and Mr. Trenton Romero, both of Abbeville, were joined in holy matrimony during a ceremony held at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Abbeville.
The 1 p.m. ceremony was officiated by Father Brian Harrington.
The parents of the bride are Laura and Michael Lejeune of Abbeville. Grandparents are Kay and Ronald Thomas of Abbeville; Shirley and Nelon Sonnier of Lafayette, and Lynn and the late Will Lejeune of Eunice.
Parents of the groom are Joan and Kurt Romero of Abbeville. Grandparents are James Kelly Frederick of Abbeville and the late Clara Bell Frederick and Beverly and Ix Romero of Abbeville.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Tommy Guidry and Johnny Luquette.
Readings were given by Marilyn Cabrol, aunt of the bride; and Jude Frederick, uncle of the groom.
Ushers were Cassidy Lejeune, brother of the bride and Blake Romero, cousin of the groom.
The mother of the bride was escorted by her son, Cassidy Lejeune. She wore a knee length champagne colored dress with beaded flowers and coral colored jacket.
The mother of the groom was escorted by her son, Nathan Romero. She wore a champagne colored, shutter pleated, satin V-neck dress with a coordinating jacket made by Adrianna Papell.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a Justin Alexander gown with beaded alencon and venice lace sweetheart neckline. The A-line gown was accented with a tulle overlay. The dress is finished by tulle covered buttons to the end of the zipper and a chapel length train. The fingertip length veil had a beaded scalloped edge.
She carried a bouquet consisting of an assortment of ivory gerber daises, hydrangeas and a cabbage rose bound with lace and the bride’s rosary.
Amy Lejeune, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Ashley Meaux, sister of the groom, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids included Ashton Hammond, niece of the bride; Jennah Cabrol, cousin of the bride and Aimee Duhon, friend of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Evelyn Lejeune, niece of the bride. The flower girl was Eleanor Lejeune, niece of the bride.
The attendants wore gowns of ivory lace over melon luminescent chiffon strapless bodices with a melon luminescent chiffon A-line skirt. They carried bouquets of assortment coral gerber daises, ivory hydrangeas and peach roses bound with satin ribbon.
Kayne Hargrave, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen included Kody Meaux, brother-in-law of the groom; Nathan Romero, brother of the groom; Garrett Granger, friend of the groom and Ryan Fox, friend. Ian Romero, godchild of the groom, served as the ring bearer. Junior groomsman was Maddox Hammond, nephew of the bride.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the St. Theresa Holy Family Center.
Upon their return from a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Cancun, the couple will reside in Abbeville.
