Cori Dupuis becomes Mrs. Brett Elias
Miss Cori Dupuis became the bride of Mr. Brett Elias on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Maurice, La.
Father Louis Richard officiated the 1:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas F. Dupuis, Jr., of Maurice, La. Her grandparents are Mrs. Gladys Trahan and the late Robert L. Trahan of Maurice, Mr. and Mrs. Randy Keller of Lafayette, La., and the late Thomas F. Dupuis, Sr.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Randy E. Elias. His grandparents are Margret Elias of Youngsville, La., Mr. and Mrs. Greg Bridges of Youngsville, La., Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Boutte of New Iberia, La. and Mr. A. C. Ellias.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Tammy Lynn Maturin and Jarod Gray.
Readings were done by Gwen Trahan, godmother of the bride; Mark Chiasson, godfather of the bride and Kim Bryan, godmother of the groom. Gift bearers were Ashlan Derouen, niece of the groom and Kim Bryan, godmother of the groom.
Ushers included John Knickerbocker, brother-in-law of the bride and Dirk Guidry, friend of the bride.
The bride was escorted by Tommy Dupuis.
The bride wore a gorgeous lace gown found exclusively at A-net’s Bridal Boutique. The strapless design featured a soft sweetheart neckline and slim fitted silhouette fully embellished by rich ivory lace over a light gold lining. The breathtaking design was further enhanced by a ruched satin waistband and richly beaded appliqué. Finally the bride’s classic look was made complete by covered buttons and a semi-cathedral train.
She wore a beautiful, elegant, champagne back drop dress with black lace on top.
Rilee Dupuis, sister of the bride served as maid of honor. Matron of honor was Kelli Knickerbocker, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids included Shelby Dupuis, sister of the bride; Shelby Elias, sister-in-law of the groom; Cree Floyd, Kirby Floyd and Adrienne Childress, all friends of the bride. The flower girl was Charli Knickerbocker, niece of the bride.
Brandon Elias, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen included Hunter Veillon, Dustin Rhoades, Brennan Miller, Bryan Broussard, and Reid Broussard, all friends of the groom. The ring bearers were Thomas Dupuis and Sawyer Knickerbocker, nephews of the bride.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Black’s Banquet and Reception Hall in Abbeville, La.
After their return from a wedding trip to Tennessee, the couple will reside in Abbeville, La.
