Jerica Lege becomes Mrs. Shaquille Broussard

Jerica Lege and Shaquille Broussard were united in holy matrimony during a 1 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Abbeville. Celebrant of the Mass was Father Kenneth Mayne.
The bride is the daughter of Nadine and Chris Richard of Abbeville and Gregory and Hope Lege of Baton Rouge. The bride’s maternal grandparents are Ms. Geraldine F. Boudreaux and the late Purvis Boudreaux. Paternal grandparents are Ms. Leona Lege Hopkins and the late Milton Lege.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Broussard of Abbeville. The groom’s maternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Austin Guillory. Paternal grandparents are the late Mildred Arceneaux Broussard and the late Samuel Broussard Sr.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Peter Dozier and daughter, Alexia. Readings were given by Randal Hebert, uncle of the bride, and Jada Guillory, sister-in-law of the groom.
Presented by her father, Gregory Lege and stepfather, Chris Richard, the bride wore a stunning ivory La Sposa Madeira gown, with a sweetheart neckline and a semi cathedral train. The bride’s bouquet was handmade with silk roses adorned with antique brooches.
Lauren Howell, friend of the bride, served as matron of honor and Amy Frederick, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Anne Marie Richard, sister of the bride; Olivia Lege, cousin of the bride; Alaine’ DeValcourt, friend of the bride and Kayla Hennigan, friend of the bride. Ava Guillory, niece of the groom, served as miniature bride wearing an ivory replica of the bridal gown. The bridesmaids wore full length gowns in crimson.
Ronald Guillory, brother of the groom, and D’Wayne Levine, friend of the groom, served as best men. Groomsmen included Ryan Owens, friend of the groom; Zech Hennigan, friend of the groom; Alessio Lavino, friend of the groom and Ty Prejean, cousin of the groom. Austin Guillory, nephew of the groom, served as miniature groom.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Holy Family Center. Music for the reception was provided by John Clements.
The couple will reside in Abbeville, La. upon their return from a honeymoon to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
The bride is employed at J.H. Williams Middle School as a 7th grade Life Science teacher.
The groom is employed at UL at Lafayette as a supervisor for Sodexo.
