Amanda Choate becomes Mrs. Justin Meaux

Miss Amanda Gabrielle Choate and Mr. Justin Lee Meaux were joined in holy matrimony during a nuptial ceremony held at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Abbeville, La. on Saturday, May 9, 2015.
Father Hampton Davis officiated the 6:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Annette D. Choate and the late Jude Choate. Her grandparents are Mrs. Ethelee V. Davidson and the late Forest Davidson and the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Choate, all of Abbeville.
The groom is the son Mrs. Sandra Meaux and the late Gary Meaux. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Dunice Meaux of Meaux, La., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Percy Breaux of Leroy, La.
Music for the wedding was provided by Tommy Guidry, organist and Loren Loing, violinist.
Readings were given by Johnny Choate, cousin of the bride and Karen Meaux, aunt of the groom.
Ushers were Caleb and Alex Russo, nephews of the groom.
The mother of the bride was escorted by her grandsons, Seth and Ayden Choate. She wore a black palazzo pants and top with black English net duster embellished with gold thread.
The mother of the groom was escorted by her son, Justin Meaux.
Escorted by her godchild, Seth Choate, the bride wore a beautiful ivory gown with embroidered lace appliqués accented with an array of pearls and sequins sewn on the tulle over Gossamer lace and organza with beaded lace spaghetti straps. The gown was a fitted, slim trumpet silhouette with a sheer embroidered lace train. The unique design was completed by a sheer lace chapel length train.
She carried a hand tied bouquet of Mondail cabbage roses, vendela roses, calla lilies, green astroemeria lilies with her maternal grandmother’s rosary entwined finished with seeded green eucalyptus and wrapped in mother’s bridal veil lace.
Matron of honor was Lauren B. Lee, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids included Amanda Baudoin, sister of the groom; Christina Russo, sister of the groom; Allison L. Meaux, childhood friend and sister-in-law of the groom.
They carried a smaller version of the bride’s bouquet.
They wore acorn dupioni silk, strapless soft fluted gowns with a pleated notched neckline and asymmetrical seam placement throughout the skirt.
Flower girl was Eleigh Baudoin, the groom’s niece. She wore a handmade dress by her grandmother. The dress was a full length champagne luxe satin with an overlay of ivory Point D’Esprit netting. The dress featured a tank bodice with an illusion neckline and the empire waist was accented with beaded trim. She carried a hydrangea pomander ball.
Best man was Brett Meaux, brother of the groom. Groomsmen included Michael Choate, brother of the bride; Durk Baudoin, brother-in-law of the groom and Ryan Meaux, cousin of the groom. The ring bearer was Leo Choate, nephew of the bride.
The bridal cake was a beautiful and delicious creation by Heidi Broussard.
Following the wedding, a reception was held at Black’s.
Upon their return from a wedding trip to Negril, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Abbeville.
