VC is ranked in the top 1 percent of state's private schools
Vermilion Catholic High School can brag that it is ranked in the top 1 percent of private Louisiana high schools.
Recently, NICHE, an educational website, released their school rankings, featuring 3,900 private Louisiana high schools.
The schools’ rankings are based on administration, policies. admissions, educational experience, extracurriculars, food, health, safety, resources, facilities, sports, fitness, student culture, diversity and teachers. Students, parents and alumni are asked to complete surveys regarding their experience.
According to the Niche Website, “A high ranking indicates that the school is an exceptional academic institution with a diverse set of high-achieving students who rate their experience very highly.”
Schools are given an overall letter grade. VC received a “B-” .
The Vermilion Catholic administration stated that they are proud to receive
recognition for providing an outstanding Catholic education for the students of Vermilion parish.
The top private school in Louisiana is Isidore Newman School in New Orleans, followed by Metairie Park Country in Metairie.
Acadiana did have one of the top three private schools in the state - Episcopal School of Acadiana.
Every student from ESA goes to a four year college and their average ACT score is 30.
