Mother and daughters learn and enjoy time together

According to Bobbie Joe LeJeune, mother of two daughters, Grace and Emma, a special weekend was recently shared together.

The three recently attended the Abbey Youth Festival 2015 in St. Benedict, La., where they experienced two days of prayer and faith formation with an exposure to the Benedictine tradition. The days were focused on evangelization and vocational discernment by means of Liturgy, prayer, worship, music and education appropriate for Catholic young people.

LeJeune says “It was an amazing experience. 5,000 teens being their unique, holy selves while worshiping and praising their One, True God...it was a sight to see. When asked by Archbishop Aymond at the conclusion of Mass, “who in this sea of teens, was at least open to being called on by Christ to serve Him,” I’d venture to guess 700-800 young men and women stood up. It’s hard not to come away effected. Grace and Emma were asking to go back next year before we were even out of the parking lot”!
