Vermilion Sheriff’s Office arrests two on rape charges

On March 1, the Sheriff’s Office received a report in reference to a simple rape involving two 17-year-old males from Vermilion Parish.
Sheriff Mike Couvillon says that on February 17, 2015 the two male subjects picked up two female juveniles from Lafayette and brought them to a residence in Vermilion Parish where the juveniles were allegedly given liquor and marijuana and were raped.
Arrested was Brant Anselmi (Date of birth 7/04/97 ) of 10416 North Road in Abbeville.
He was charged with one count of simple rape with no bond set.
Also arrested was Sage Michael Suire (Date of birth 4/14/97) of 118 Lafayette Street, Maurice. He was charged with one count of simple rape and two counts of contributing to child delinquency with no bond set.
This investigation is ongoing and additional arrest may be forthcoming.
