All schools, public and private, in Vermilion Parish are closed on Tuesday

Superintendent Jerome Puyau decided at 4:35 p.m. not to have school on Tuesday.`
The weather calls for sleet and 32 degree temperatures in the morning. Puyau said school was called off for safety reasons due to the weather.
Parents will receive telephone calls from the central office informing them about the decision.
