Governor Bobby Jindal Announces the Appointment of Kimberly Dellafosse to the State Civil Service Commission
BATON ROUGE – Today, Governor Bobby Jindal announced the appointment of Kimberly Dellafosse to the State Civil Service Commission.
The State Civil Service Commission serves as an impartial review board that enacts and adjudicates Civil Service Rules to regulate state personnel activities, and hears appeals from state employees and agencies.
According to the Louisiana Constitution, the commission is comprised of seven members, including one employee representative elected by fellow classified employees of the state. The remaining six members are gubernatorial appointments selected from nominations submitted by the presidents of the state’s major private universities, including Centenary College at Shreveport, Dillard University at New Orleans, Louisiana College at Pineville, Loyola University at New Orleans, Tulane University of Louisiana at New Orleans, and Xavier University at New Orleans. At least one member shall be from each congressional district.
Kimberly Dellafosse, of Lake Charles, is a clinical nurse specialist at Christus St. Patrick Hospital and the owner of Crimson Media Enterprises. Dellafosse will be appointed to serve as a member nominated by the President of Dillard University and as a representative of the 3rd Congressional District, in accordance with the requirements of the Louisiana Constitution.
