Shelby Moss-Joshua Carrier unite in marriage

Miss Shelby Hannah Moss and Mr. Joshua Paul Carrier were united in holy matrimony during a ceremony held on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Erath.
Father Bill Melancon officiated the 7 p.m. ceremony.
Parents of the bride are Mrs. Rita Moss and the late Robert Everett Moss of Erath, La. Her grandparents are C.J. and Stella Stoute of Erath and the late John and Ella Moss of Erath.
Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bearb of Lafayette, La. and Chris Carriere of Branch, La. Grandparents are Mrs. Betty Faulk and the late Wayne C. Faulk of Crowley, Mrs. Rowena Lavergne of Lafayette and Doug Carriere of Lafayette.
Music for the special day was provided by Earl Seaux and Manique LeBlanc. Readings were done by Gwen Bodin, godmother of the bride and Paula Hart, aunt of the groom.
Ushers were Tate Bodin, cousin of the bride and Ryan-Paul Johnson, friend of the couple.
The mother of the bride was escorted by Clarence Bearb. She wore an eggplant chiffon sheath dress.
Escorted by her brother, A.J. Moss, the bride wore a romantic ivory wedding gown created from hand-crafted lace applique’ on soft net. The sculpted neckline featured scalloped cap sleeves. Her dramatic V-shape back accented with covered buttons. The empire waist was accented with swarovski crystal detail and the scalloped lace hemline flowed into a chapel length train.
She wore a single-tiered cathedral length veil with a sequin trim.
The bride carried a white, ivory, quicksand and porcelina roses accented with blue hydrangeas. Attached to the bouquet was a rosary belonging to her maternal great-grandmother and a small picture of her father.
Bailey Bodin, cousin of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Emily Broussard and Tatum Broussard, friends of the bride; Chelsie Kirkconnell, cousin of the bride; and Annie Bearb, sister of the groom. The junior bridesmaid was Chloe Stoute, cousin of the bride. Flower girl was Aubrye Bodin and Sadie Kirkconnell, cousins of the bride. The attendants wore navy blue sleeveless chiffon evening gowns, sweetheart neckline with a boat neck overlay, accented with a sequined belt and cowl back.
John Breaux, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen included Ryan Dufrene and Larry Firmin, friends of the groom; Eric Hart, cousin of the groom, William Kirkconnell, godchild of the bride; and Joey Bearb, brother of the groom. Ring bearer was Adam Breaux, godchild of the groom.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at La Louisiana Banquet Hall in New Iberia.
Upon their return from their honeymoon, the couple will reside in Scott.
