Andrew Trahan, Sr.

ABBEVILLE—Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 15, 2014 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Lourdes Church honoring the life of Andrew Trahan, Sr., 68, who died Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Abbeville General Hospital.
He will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery with Reverend Bill Melancon officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Andrew Trahan, Jr., Damian Trahan, Farrell Fontenot, Carroll Fontenot, Toby Hebert and Gene Fontenot, Jr. Honorary pallbearer will be Roger Fontenot.
He is survived by his wife, Mary LeBlanc Trahan; two sons, Andrew Trahan. Jr. and his wife Gretta, and Damian “Yut” Trahan and his wife Lisa all of Erath; daughter, Dawn Hebert and her husband Toby of Abbeville; sister, Gloria Waits of Springhill, LA; and five grandchildren, Morgan Trahan, Lindsay Hargrave, Keisha Suire, Mattie Suire and Emma Grace Hebert.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fernand Trahan and the former Amae Reaux; numerous brothers and sisters; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Gladys LeBlanc; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, November 14, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, November 15, 2014, from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
