Square on the Scare is Thursday in Abbeville

Halloween is just around the corner, and your best bet for safe family fun is the Scare on the Square, Magdalen Square in Downtown Abbeville.
The Vermilion Parish Library is a proud sponsor again this year, and there are fun activities for the whole family planned!
On Thursday, starting at 4:30 p.m., the library will have registration for the costume contest, with trophies going to the Prettiest, Most Original, Scariest and Best Group in three age groups, 0-3, 4-6 and 7-12.
The costume contest judging will also begin at 4:30 and end at 5:45, with the winners being announced from 5:45 - 6:15.
There will be spooky fun featuring Matthew Noel in the square, Rhythm & Soul at the courthouse and trick or treating around the square and through downtown Abbeville 6-8 p.m.
All costume contests are open to children 12 and under. Just a reminder, please do not bring your pets inside the square while the costume contest is being held.
