Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at a 4:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Maurice, for Carlos John Menard, 60, who passed away on Monday, October 6, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment will be in St. Alphonsus
Cemetery in Maurice. The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 in Delhomme Funeral Home in Maurice from 8:00 AM until the time of service. A Rosary will be prayed at 2:00 PM on Wednesday.
Reverend O. Joseph Breaux, Pastor of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Maurice, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Mr. Menard was a longtime resident of Maurice and devoted his life to farming and the agriculture industry.
He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Menard will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Annette Broussard Menard; two sons, Sandon Menard and his wife Katherine and Stevie Menard and Lauren Frederick; four grandchildren, Hunter Menard, Sara Menard, Sydney Menard and Taber Menard; four step-grandchildren, Krystell Kendziora, Robert Kendziora, Kristen Kramer and Austin Kramer; three step-great grandchildren, Raeliegh, Skyla and Stephen; parents, John Percy and Mary Baudoin Menard; three siblings, Patricia Cramer, Cerelle Abshire and Jeff Menard; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph James Menard; one niece, Alyssa Menard; and one infant nephew, Connor Menard.
Pallbearers will be Sandon Menard, Stevie Menard, Jeff Menard, Hunter Menard, Jamie Barras and Kenneth "Keno" Hebert. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gerald Roy and Taber Menard.
