Scott Angelle annouces he will run for Louisiana governor

Another candidate has jumped into the Louisiana governor's race: Republican Scott Angelle, a member of Louisiana's utility regulatory agency, the Public Service Commission.
Angelle, from Breaux Bridge, announced Thursday that he would be a candidate on the 2015 ballot, saying he can bring spirit and passion to the job.
A long-time government official, Angelle spent more than eight years as natural resources secretary, working in the position for Gov. Bobby Jindal and former Gov. Kathleen Blanco. Jindal appointed Angelle as a temporary lieutenant governor when the office was vacant for six months in 2010. He has been on the PSC since 2013.
Jindal is term-limited. Angelle joins three other announced candidates: Lt. Gov. Jay Dardenne and U.S. Sen. David Vitter, both Republicans, and state Rep. John Bel Edwards, a Democrat.
