Mabel LeBlanc Broussard

Mabel LeBlanc Broussard, 90, was born on August 10, 1924 and passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at her daughter's residence in Zachary, LA. She was a graduate of U.S.L. with a major in education and a minor in library science. She first taught in Maurice, and then was a librarian at U.S.L., where she worked until retirement.
Mrs. Mabel was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Broussard Sr; her son, Homer Broussard Jr.; and her parents, Gabriel B. LeBlanc and Emma Andrus LeBlanc. She is survived by her daughter, Yvette Broussard Knight and her husband George Newell Knight, Sr. of Zachary, LA; grandchildren, George Newell Knight Jr., Logan James Knight, Gabrielle Mary Knight McAllister and Jacob Homer Knight; and great grandchildren, Michael Gabriel Knight McAllister and Oliver Scott McAllister. She passed away at her daughter's home surrounded by her family, where she has resided for the last 9 years to meet her Savior, The Lord Jesus.
A Private Graveside Service was held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Mausoleum in Maurice.
