Wildcats sporting new uniforms in 2014

The 2014 season was one to forget for the Abbeville Wildcats. The team went 0-10 and just could not seem to make crucial plays to win games.
The goal of the team was to wipe the slate clean heading into the new year and what better way to do it than to bring in the new football season in sytle with fresh uniforms. The team purchased new white Russel Athletics road uniforms to wear this season.
“We’re trying to do something to inspire the team,” said head coach Chris Towery. “It’s time for a change around here.”
The Wildcats will still use their home red jerseys with the intention to switch to new home uniforms next season.
New Uniforms may be just the thing that can help the Wildcats turn the corner and become a contender in a tough district.
The team is working hard to overcome their shortcomings from last year, and now they can look good doing it.
Coach Towery talked about the frequent change around the school and the need to have things remain constant at the school.
“There has never been a set pattern of anything around here,” he said. “We’re trying to get something set in stone and build on it.”
The Wildcats have their work cut out for them this year trying to win games, but at least they will be looking good doing it.
