Eddie Hills, Jr.

ABBEVILLE — Funeral services for Mr. Eddie Hills, Jr., 67, is scheduled to be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Mt. Triumph Baptist Church – 310 S. Lamar Street – Abbeville, LA.
The Rev. Darrell Thibeaux will officiate the service with interment in the St. Paul Cemetery.
Mr. Hills, a long time resident of Abbeville passed away on Friday, July 18, 2014 at his home while surrounded by family and friends.
He leaves to cherish wonderful memories, his loving wife, Etheline Plowden Hills of Abbeville, LA; two sons, Carlton Hills and Tony Petry of Abbeville, LA; four daughters, Gracie Hills, Melissa Hills, Mary Hills-Landry (Jerome), and Tavonjia Hills all of Abbeville, LA; three brothers, Johnny Andrews of Houston, TX; Eugene Hills (Sharon) of New Orleans, LA; and Calvin Williams of Abbeville, LA; three sisters, Monique H. Webber (Wallace), Rena H. Edwards (Buruse), and Eillen H. Saulsbury (Joseph) all of New Orleans, LA; fourteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by parents, Eddie Hills and Audrey Melbeck Hills, a brother, Joseph Andrews, and three sisters, Peggy Hills, Hazel Marie Levy and Eva Mae Levy-Levine.
Visitation will begin at the church Saturday, July 26, 2014 from 8:00 A.M. until time of service.
