ABBEVILLE—Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2014 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Joseph Ovey Desormeaux, 91, who died Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Eastridge Assisted Living Center.
He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Deacon Randy Hyde officiating the services.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl G. Desormeaux; three sons, Daniel Desormeaux and his wife Joyce, William Pene and his wife Patti, and Ronald Pene; twelve grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Desire Desormeaux and the former Elzina Faulk; son, Joseph Desormeaux, Jr.; daughter, Dianna Lynn Lege’; four brothers; and six sisters.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.; Friday, July 25, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
