Juanita Duhon Simon

ABBEVILLE — Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Juanita Duhon Simon, 77, who died Monday, June 30, 2014 at Vermilion Health Care Center.
She will be laid to rest at St. Alphonsus Cemetery with Father Michael Sucharski, SVD officiating the services.
She is survived by her husband, Forest Simon of Maurice; step-daughter, Debra Simon of Lafayette; two brothers, Russell Duhon and his wife Marilyn, and Larry Duhon and his wife Phyllis all of Maurice; two sisters, Maggie Trahan of Maurice and Verna Mae Frederick and her husband Raywood of Abbeville; sister-in-law, Elaine Duhon of Lafayette; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis Duhon and the former Anite Frederick; son, Dwight Wayne Simon; and brother, Joseph “C.D.” Duhon.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 from 2:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. when the procession will depart for church.
