NV’s Comeaux named 6-3A MVP

District 6-3A was arguably one of the most competitive districts in the state.
Four of the five teams in the district made it to the state championship playoff tournament.
Vermilion Parish is well represented in the 6-3A All-District team. 31 of the 44 players on the All-District team are from Vermilion Parish.
Erath led the way with 13 playes between the first and second teams, and the honorable mentions.
The Bobcats had five players to make the first team and second teams.
North Vermilion had nine players make the team.
North Vermilion did have the MVP in Donald Comeaux.
Comeaux was named All-District MVP because of his pitching prowess. He had a district record of 3-0.
Coupled with the MVP, Comeaux and five of his teammates made the first team.
The Patriots also had three players on the second team.
To go along with his perfect district record, Comeaux also had an incredibly low earned run average of 1.05, along with striking out 25 batters.
Kaplan had eight players make the all-district team.
Slade Bouillion and Brady Mott were the lone Pirates to land on the first team.
Five other Kaplan players found themselves on the second team.
Erath’s head coach David Jordan and North Vermilion’s head coach Jeremy Trahan shared the All-District Coach of the Year honors.
