Baseball All-District teams announced

Now that the state championships have been passed out, and the high school baseball season is finally over, the All-District teams can finally be announced.
First to come out is District 7-1A, this is the district that Vermilion Catholic and Gueydan are a part of.
Vermilion Catholic was fortunate enough to have nine members of the baseball team, that finished with a 21-11, which was good enough to be the fifth seed heading into the state playoffs.
Tyler Derouen, Connor Menard and Drake Broussard were the only members of the VC team to make the first team.
They also led the Eagles team in hitting.
Derouen and Menard were one and two with a .356 and a .354 batting average.
Jacob Saegrea was the only member of the VC team to land on the second team.
Sagrea had a 4-2 record for the Eagles on the mound. He also sported an earned run average of 3.36 while striking out 34 batters.
Wes Meaux, William Noegel, Brennan Gallet, Chris Sagrea and Emile Trahan rounded out the selections for VC on All-District team as honorable mention.
Gueydan’s season didn’t quite go as smoothly as they would have hoped, but despite that they were still able to land two players on the All-Parish team.
Gabe Hebert was named to the second team, and Trenton Latiolais was named an honorable mention.
