Brenda Faye Broussard

GUEYDAN - Mrs. Brenda Faye Broussard passed away on May 10, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Brenda was born to Wilfred “Blanc” Broussard and the late Wanda Louise Thibodeaux Broussard on August 18, 1948. She was a homemaker, who devoted her life to her husband, children and grandchildren. She loved go to Holly Beach and sew. She had one of the most beautiful smiles, and loved to share it with the world. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 47 wonderful years, Robert Paul Broussard of Gueydan, her son; Robert Paul “Blue” Broussard II of Gueydan, her three daughters; Celena B. Breaux (Judd) of Gueydan, Laurie B. Zaunbrecher (Wendell) of Crowley, and Tina B. Champagne (Raymond) of Crowley, nine beautiful grandchildren; Bryce, Zachary, Reagan, Johnnie, Jacob, Sadie, Ethan, Rylee, Chloe’ and baby Ava on the way. Brenda is also survived by her father, Wilfred “Blanc” Broussard; two sisters; Linda B. Cormier of Crowley and Glenda B. Henry (Russell) of Crowley.
Brenda is preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Louise Thibodeaux Broussard and her mother and father in law Aldis and Marie Broussard.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Gueydan on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 10 a.m. with Father Corey Campeaux officiating. Burial will be followed in the Gueydan Cemetery.
Visitations will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Gueydan on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 10 a.m. until time of her funeral Mass with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. Monday evening.
Carrying Brenda to her eternal resting place was Robert Broussard II, Zachary Breaux, Judd Breaux, Wendell Zaunbrecher, Raymond Champagne, and Bryce Zaunbrecher. Honorary pallbearers will be Reagan LeBlanc, Ethan Zaunbrecher, Johnnie Breaux, and Jacob Zaunbrecher.
