Eutis Joseph Viator

DELCAMBRE — A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mr. Eutis Joseph Viator, age 89, at 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Fr. Nathan Comeaux officiating. Interment will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery with military honors by Vermilion Parish Honor Guard.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Monday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Tuesday until service time.
A native and resident of Delcambre, Mr. Viator passed away at 1:50 am on Monday, May 5, 2014 at his resident.
Mr. Viator was a WWII Veteran of the US Army who served his country honorably. He retired from LA Wildlife and Fisheries after many years of service. He was a member of the Good Sam Camping Club, the Delcambre American Legion Post 0338 and a dedicated member of the Delcambre Shrimp Festival for 51 years. He leaves a legacy that will not be forgotten and will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Sally Derise and husband Ray of Delcambre; one son, Lynn Ray Viator and wife Charlotte of Meaux; four grandchildren, Jake Derise, Doug Derise, Brittany Viator and Brett Viator; three great grandchildren, Shadd Derise, Jaley Derise and Mackenzie Turner and one brother, Paul Viator, Jr. and wife Joy of Delcambre.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Thibodeaux Viator; parents, Paul and Carmelite LeBlanc Viator, Sr.; two sisters, Irene Hymel and Eunice LaSalle and three brothers, Dennis Viator, Edwin Viator and Leo Viator.
Pallbearers will be Jake Derise, Doug Derise, Shadd Derise, Brett Viator, Dennis Viator, Jr. and Paul Viator, Jr.
Edwin Renard will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to his sitters, Sheila Derise, Alice Pacetti and Ida Landry for all of the great care and concerns.
