Joseph Harris Roche

ABBEVILLE — A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Joseph Harris Roche, 70, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Bill Melancon officiating.
Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM.
Visitation will resume on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. until the time of the services. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum.
A native of Kaplan and a resident of Erath Mr. Roche died at 1:48 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Lafayette General Medical Center. He was retired from Stallion Offshore as a welder.
He is survived by a son, David Roche and his wife Mona of Erath; four daughters, Sally Roche Soprano and her husband Todd of Franklin, Lisa Roche Meaux and her husband Mark of Morgan City, Deborah Roche Byrd and her husband Shane of Florida, and Susan Roche of Delcambre; sixteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Trahan Roche; his parents, Nilese Roche and Zula Touchet Bourque; a brother, Curtis Roche; three sisters, Carol Richeaux, Mary Pichoff, and Lillian Palambo; and a great grandson, Zachary Tyler Pickens.
Serving as pallbearers will be David Roche, Mark Meaux, Jared Ardeneaux, Kevin Roche, Todd Soprano, and Shane Byrd.
