Bobcats beat Vandebilt

The Erath Bobcats ended a two game losing streak by defeating Vandebilt Catholic by the final score of 2-1.

“It was a good win,” Erath Head Coach David Jordan said. “We dropped two at Lutcher this past weekend, so anytime you can get a win after dropping two it’s big. We pitched real well, played good defense and did enough to score more runs than
them.”

Jace Harrington started the game for the Bobcats and got the win by pitching 4 2/3 innings. In his time on the mound he only allowed one unearned run, one hit and struck out five Vandebilt batters.

Ben LeBlanc and Alec Toups got the winning RBIs for the Bobcats.

LeBlanc was 0-for-2 but had a sacrifice RBI, and Toups was 1-for-2 with the other RBI for the Bobcats.

Jessie Jordan was 3-3 from the plate.

The Bobcats will be back in action this Saturday when they travel to take on Westlake.
